Alfred Joseph Hitchcock nació en Londres el 13 de agosto de 1889 y falleció en su casa en Bellaggio Road de Los Angeles el 29 de abril de 1980, a las nueve y diecisiete de la mañana, victima de un fallo cardíaco, producido probablemente por la artritis que padecía, así como por una fuerte dolencia renal.
